What’s THANK TANK about?
THANK TANK is all about gratitude. Gratitude, or being grateful for the good in your life, can change everything. OK, maybe not everything, but it can increase your levels of happiness. It simply makes you feel better, making it easier to recover from setbacks and is a powerful tool for improving wellbeing levels.

Why use the THANK TANK?
Research has discovered that people who are grateful have:
- A higher chance of finding the positives in life
- More energy
- Better concentration and attention
- Better sleep
Ok, let’s dispel a myth before we go any further: Gratitude is not just about being positive 24/7 and pretending that things are ok even if they aren't. As humans we’re not programmed that way and we all have bad days that we need to acknowledge at the time. But acknowledging the good days and good things in life helps you have more of a balanced mindset.
How to use THANK TANK
THANK TANK is all about acknowledging the good things that happen in life.
Each week (or as often as you like), all you need to do is find the things you’re grateful for and add them to the THANK TANK. You might have one – you might have 5 – you might have more. That part really doesn’t matter.
You can choose to share your THANK TANK entries - or not – it's up to you. But sharing them could just be the inspiration someone else needs to realise what they're grateful for.
To add your THANK TANK entries, you just need to follow these 3 simple steps:
- ONE - log in to BITE BACK, jump onto the THANK TANK page, and find the THANK TANK entry box. Not registered for BITE BACK? It’s easy – why not create your account now?
- TWO – In the boxes, write down 3 THINGS that made your day or week BETTER.
- THREE – Hit the ‘drop it in the tank’ button.
Psst…We respect your privacy. If you don't want your entry to be seen by other people, you can to make it 'private.' You can also add your entries to THANK TANK without your screen name attached.
So that’s it! Done and dusted. But keep this in mind - the more often you do it, the bigger the change. Try to use THANK TANK each week for 6 weeks – you may be surprised by the change you feel.
A good idea for a bad week.
Everyone has bad weeks, and yes, it's really important to acknowledge these things when they happen. But it’s easy to get caught in the quicksand of negativity where all the good things going on become invisible.
So - we have a small suggestion that can have a big impact.
Here it is: Next time you have a really negative thought or moment, try and look at the situation from a different angle. Is there anything positive that can come out of it?
Now, we know that it might not always be possible to do this. But think about it. Just for a moment. Is there a positive side to this negative situation?
